Today, MISD starts a new school year. We've had multiple hurdles to get over this summer, but we are so thankful to be back! We would like to introduce our new staff! At the Elem/JH, we have Ms. Montes (Paraprofessional), Ms. Ramon (1st Grade), and Ms. Stidham (Kindergarten). At the HS, we have Ms. Hernandez (Library), Mrs. McKey (Eng I & IV, Culinary Arts), and Mrs. Bean (SpEd).

Menard Strong 💪🐝
After battling three floods this summer, MHS staff have worked tirelessly to clean up and restore the campus. But with so much unexpected damage, some regular summer maintenance had to be put on hold.
Today, our community stepped up in a big way. Frontera Healthcare organized an incredible volunteer effort with help from International Medical Corps, Texas A&M Telehealth Institute, Americares, current and former MHS students, and dedicated community members.
In just a few hours, they cleared debris, painted, and moved furniture—helping get MHS ready to welcome back students and staff this month.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out for Menard!

Back to School Event! Please read flyer to help get students ready for back to school.

Menard High School is seeking a Special Education Teacher. Please contact Jacob Hand at 325-396-2513 or jacob.hand@menardisd.net.

Menard ISD would like to inform parents and students of a new Texas law (House Bill 1481) that bans students from using cell phones and any personal communication devices during school hours in public schools and open-enrollment charter schools. The law, signed by Governor Abbott, requires school districts to implement policies prohibiting the use of "personal communication devices" during the school day.

Menard will have a football camp for grades K-8 from June 24-June 26.

The Jackets are excited about the 2025 football season. Here is the schedule. Please understand that there might be changes.

On Tuesday, June 10th, tennis camp will be in the old gym this morning.

Tennis Camp is still
June 9-June 11.
There has been a time change. We have coordinated with basketball camp so you can do both camps on the same day.

On Tuesday, the FFA will be selling baked goods and brisket tacos! They will be set up at Lowe's starting at 7:30. They will have anything from different cookies to all sorts of cakes, pies, and loaves. Come by if you need a sweet treat or a delicious breakfast.
